What to Expect from Fast


Same-Day Service

In most cases, if you are out of hot water or if your hot water heater is leaking and we receive a call before 12 noon, we will be able to schedule to install a new water heater the same day

Two-Hour Time Window

When our customer service representatives and dispatchers speak with you on the phone, we will give you a 2-3 hour time window when the technician will arrive at your house. While we have you on the phone, we may want you to read your model and serial number from your existing tank to ensure we are bringing a tank that will fit. If you can have this prior to your call, it will speed things up. Your model and serial number are on the rating plate on your tank.

If you are not in an emergency situation, in most cases we can still perform your installation the same day you contact us. If you are interested in a quote for a tankless hot water heater, then we may schedule a time in advance in order to ensure that a qualified technician is available.

If our technician is not going to make his time window, either a customer service representative or the technician will call you to let you know that they are running late.

All of our technicians are company employees, not sub-contractors. A technician should arrive at your home in uniform with a truck that is fully stocked so that he can complete the job in one trip.

Initial Inspection 

Once the technician arrives, he will greet you and then he will inspect the work site. He will run some basic tests and he will check to make sure the water heater is in compliance with current safety regulations and codes. The technician will then go over everything with you and will require a signature before he proceeds with the installation.

A typical installation will take between 2 and 4 hours depending on the amount of work that needs to be done.

We Process Your Permit For You

If a permit is required, we collect the cost of the permit as part of your total bill. We then process a permit for you. Once we have received your permit from your city or county, we will mail this to you with a complete set of instructions on how to arrange for inspection.  We strongly encourage you to arrange for the inspection promptly as you may lose the cost of the permit if you do not call for inspection.

In the majority of cases, your city or county understands that a water heater is an emergency replacement and will allow us to replace your water heater and concurrently apply for a permit.  We handle the application process for you and we always process a permit if it is required.

The inspection also ensures that the installation was done in a safe manner. In many cases, if you do not arrange for inspection, it can affect the resale value of your home.
