I had to answer some questions - how big is the water heater, how many stairs to reach it, how much clearance around it, how many amps on the circuit breaker. They made a preliminary estimate of about $1400. They could send out a technician the next day. The earthquake straps and foam insulation pad under the water heater did cost extra, maybe a total of $100. The technician had the water heater in his truck. I accepted his bid, and he installed it in a little over an hour, which was great. Beforehand I had to fill out one form and afterwards about seven, which seemed excessive but not really a problem. He also explained that our old water heater had an internal crack which can be caused by water expansion. The whole removal of my old heater and installation of the new one went smoothly. He explained the whole process and what parts will be needed and not. He also explained the process of making sure my install is up to current required codes. I asked a lot of questions during the whole process and I learned a few things from asking. Since the old heater was shorter he had to do a little modification and removal of old parts. I'm very happy with my purchase and install. The heater is a gas model from Home Depot. I was going to go with Bob's Heating or MM Comfort, but neither of them showed information on what choices of heater they provided on their website. I like to see what I am getting that's why I went to Home Depot to see what I want and not what the plumbers tell me I should get. I went with Rheem cause I had Rheem as the old heater tank and at 19 years, I still was not getting any issues, but I replaced it before issues arise. See Less3/26/2023

When a water leak in December 2023 happened in the ceiling of my downstairs neighbor occurred, I called several remediation experts to assess the problem. Number 1 on my list of calls was to Fast Water Heater Company. They had installed my water heater that is also the source of heat in my unit. My heater was less than 5 years old and they knew the equipment. Eric, their technician came out the same day I called, turned off the water and moved the water heater out of my laundry room so the source of the leak could be explored. When the time came to reinstall the water heater, Eric came back within three days to move the water heater back and to hook it up again. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Fast Water Heater for any issues with such equipment. The price was reasonable and Eric was outstanding. Edward in their office also gave unstintingly of his time and advice. I tried the large service companies (Greenwood, Bel-Red, etc.) but fared better with this company that primarily does water heaters. After giving them my old unit's model number and answering a few questions, I was offered 2 packages to choose from, then was scheduled for the next day. The thing I liked best about the contract they emailed me was that there was no obligation until the technician arrived, inspected the old system, and gave a final estimate. For example, if additional work is needed to bring the system up to code, they would charge extra, but the customer has no obligation to move forward with the work. The email also stated very clearly what was included with the installation and what would cost extra. Tim was awesome! He called 30 minutes before arrival and arrived on time. He was friendly and fun, and did not pressure me to buy a bunch of add-ons. His instructions for me were clear and he finished in approximately an hour and a half. He said the installation went beautifully, and now our household has piping hot water instead of lukewarm water. We literally stood under the shower for 30 minutes yesterday. Then I called fast water heater company and the person on the phone was able to give me very concrete answers, listened to all of the nuances where our water heater is located in our manufactured home and was assured that when the technician came out he would come with the tank on the truck but if I decided not to use them it would cost me nothing and we live way out on Camano Island. When David got here this morning he was not only polite, he was efficient, organized, cleaned up as he went, and went above and beyond not only just to replace the water heater but to make sure it got done without having to tear out a wall. The other company called an hour and a half later. When I called, the hold time was about 20 minutes, which made me nervous. My water heater never did this before. I called the leasing company on Sunday afternoon and they put in a work order with their contractor Fast Water Heater Company. Burke called me from Fast Water Heater Company on Monday morning at 9:12 am and listened to my problem and scheduled for a service technician to come out on Tuesday to check my water heater. Fast Water Heater Company's Caleb called me 30 minutes before arriving on Tuesday. Caleb checked my house's water pressure first and then he tested my T&P relief valve (it worked correctly releasing water as it should into the discharge pipe) and then he tested the stem outlet on my expansion tank where water came out of the expansion tank instead of air. He also tested the water heater's water pressure at 60 psi. Caleb answered all of my questions and explained what he was doing. Caleb diagnosed a failed expansion tank on my 6 year old water heater. The expansion tank was incorrectly full of water. Caleb installed a new expansion tank that he had in his truck, calibrated it, and installed a new T&P relief valve during the same visit. Caleb also reset my water heater timer and told me other helpful information about my water heater for the future. All this was done quickly and professionally. See Less10/26/2022

He was responsive to questions and addressed specific needs for our installation (replacing a very outdated and broken water heater). Pricing seemed fair relative to other bids, and he was there early in the timing window the day following our initial service request. His work was impressively efficient- in and out in just over two hours to complete diagnostics/estimate, removal, modifications, and replacement. Much appreciated after two prior service visits and two weeks without hot water in October. Regarding COVID precautions, we also appreciated that he arrived in and wore a mask without request (not the case with prior bids). The new water heater looks and works great. He followed up later that evening to make sure we were still happy with the job, offering to come back out if there were any issues. But alas, no need for him to come back. Overall great service. Wasn't an emergency, just an upgrade, and it took about 2 weeks from request to installation date.
