Trusted & Award-Winning
Water Heater Installation in Long Beach, CA
Long Beach homes run the gamut, from 1920s Craftsman bungalows in Rose Park to mid-century houses in Los Altos and waterfront condos in Naples. We install top brands including Rheem, Bradford White, and Rinnai, with every job pulled under a City of Long Beach permit and inspected to code.
Premium Brands — In Stock
We carry Rheem, Bradford White, Navien, Noritz, and Rinnai. That ranges from standard 40 to 50 gallon tanks for Bixby Knolls bungalows up to space-saving tankless units that fit the tight closets and garages common in Belmont Shore and Alamitos Beach.
Long Beach Permit & Inspection
We file every job with Long Beach Building & Safety Bureau , required for any water heater replacement. Permitting protects your home value, insurance coverage, and a clean record at resale.
Whole-Home & Multi-Bath Systems
Larger Long Beach homes in Park Estates, Bixby Hill, and Naples, plus houses with a backyard ADU, often need a high-recovery tank or a properly sized tankless system. We size every unit to your home’s real peak hot water demand.
Same-Day Service Available
Call before noon for same-day installation in Long Beach. We arrive in clean, marked vehicles and protect your home with shoe covers, drop cloths, and full cleanup on every job.
Written Estimate — No Surprises
We provide a written quote covering parts, labor, permit fees, and old unit haul-away before work begins. If you decide not to proceed, there is no charge and no pressure.
Complete Haul-Away Included
We remove and properly dispose of your old water heater as part of every installation, with no extra trip and no additional charge. Your utility area is left clean.
Water Heater Code Requirements in Long Beach, CA
Long Beach Permit Required
The City of Long Beach runs its own permitting through the Building & Safety Bureau. Any water heater replacement requires a permit pulled with Long Beach Development Services. We handle all paperwork and schedule the inspection for you.
Earthquake Strapping Required
California law requires two seismic straps on every water heater. They go on the upper and lower thirds of the tank, with the lower strap at least 4 inches above the gas controls. Because the Newport-Inglewood fault runs right through Long Beach and Signal Hill, inspectors check this on every job.
Approved Location Rules
Water heaters cannot be installed in bedrooms, bathrooms, or sleeping-area closets per the California Plumbing Code. In Long Beach homes with converted garages, basements, or backyard ADUs, location compliance is checked closely.
Gas Venting Standards
Flue venting on gas water heaters must use listed materials, keep proper clearances, and stay free of obstructions. Aging vent pipes in older Long Beach homes, common in Rose Park, Wrigley, and California Heights, are inspected and replaced when needed before installation.
T&P Relief & Drain Pan
A temperature and pressure relief valve is mandatory on all installations. Discharge piping must route to an approved outdoor location. Drain pans are required in any location where a leak could cause damage to the structure below.
Shutoff, Insulation & Bonding
A dedicated cold-water shutoff valve at the unit is required. Supply and delivery pipes in unconditioned spaces must be insulated. Gas and water piping must be electrically bonded per the California Building Standards Code.

Water Heater Repair in Long Beach
No Hot Water?
Common causes are a failed thermocouple, pilot light outage, or heating element failure. Our technicians diagnose on the spot and carry standard repair parts on every service van.
Check Your Warranty
Most quality tank water heaters carry a 6–12 year warranty. We can help you locate and decode your serial number to determine if your unit is still covered, which can save you the cost of a replacement.
Repair vs. Replace
If your unit is over 10 years old and facing a significant repair, replacement is often the smarter investment. We give you an honest assessment, with no upselling.
Thermocouple & Thermistor Repair
A failed thermocouple (gas heaters) or thermistor (electric and tankless) is one of the most common repairs. These parts are inexpensive and stocked on our vans for fast turnaround.
Anode Rod Replacement
Long Beach’s hard water accelerates anode rod depletion. Replacing the rod every 3–5 years is the most cost-effective way to extend your tank’s life and prevent premature corrosion from the inside.
Annual Tank Flush
Hard water leaves calcium deposits at the bottom of your tank, reducing efficiency and shortening its life. An annual flush removes sediment buildup. It is a simple service that pays for itself in energy savings.
